Hello!
I am a current second-year MFA candidate in the UCF Emerging Media - Animation and VFX Track.
Although I now live in the treacherous urban swamps of Florida, I was initially born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. From basically my conception, I have found myself enamored with one particular thing: storytelling. Particularly, I have always enjoyed storytelling done through visual mediums. I am a life-long fan of Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, and have a special place in my heart for “Dune” (1984) and nearly anything by Hayao Miyazaki. My main focus as a storyteller is to create narratives that focus on the human condition through the lens of speculative science-fiction and mystery.
At the age of 11, my family moved cross-country to Austin, Texas. While I have drawn and created videos most of my life, it was around this time that I truly became inspired to pursue these hobbies. Over time, hobbies became passion, and passion became my goal in life. For undergraduate education, I received a B.S. in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin. During this time, I worked on both animated as well as live-action productions. Ultimately, I found that animation was where my interests most aligned. As such, I have decided to pursue a Masters of Fine Arts degree, with the intention to create my own 2D animated short film.
My current work-in-progress film is a 2D animated short titled “You and Me," which will be released in the spring of 2025.
